I have been informing and learning, and since I have become an expert in the breeding of the sparrow, I explain how I have done it, in case you ever meet one.
What in principle seems very complicated is easy when you learn. In pet stores they sell special food for baby birds. The one that I have bought is called Exact, and it works very well, since it has been awful since I started using it. It is in the form of a powder, which is mixed with water to prepare a porridge similar to that of human babies. Then you use a syringe to give him the food. The end of the syringe is very similar to the mother's beak, and it is very easy to give her the food that way. Practice a little before with the syringe to calculate the strength and speed, lest you put too much food in your mouth.
While you get the proper food, you can feed it with a porridge made with a mixture of canned cat food, whole wheat bread crumb and hard boiled egg. Under no circumstances should milk be given. Nor should the beak be forced open.
If it is very small, it must be given very frequently, every 20 minutes or half an hour. Although the same bird will ask you and set its pace. You can see his buche in the neck, filling with food. It is the place where they store it and from there it goes into the stomach as they need it. It is important that you control what makes poop and that it is not constipated. If it is, make a more liquid porridge.
The temperature is very important. I made a nest in a cup, with a piece of towel and toilet paper on top. I covered the cup leaving a slit and placed it next to a lamp with a 40-watt bulb. The bulb heats the lamp screen and it transmits heat that does not burn the nest / cup. At first I checked every few minutes until I noticed that the temperature was adequate and the bird is comfortable. If it is hot it will have its beak open and if it is cold you will notice its cold skin. The temperature of the hat is about 40 degrees Celsius or higher, so when you touch it you will feel it hot if it has an adequate temperature.
If you have food left over, you can use an ear stick soaked in water to clean it.
With approximately two weeks of life, the gurriatos volantones leave the nest, but the parents are still close and aware of them and feed them for another two weeks, until the birds join other young sparrows and become completely independent. Therefore, to release them you will have to make that transition, leaving them out of the nest in a place where they can practice the flight (they need to learn to land and settle in various places). I have thought about putting it in a cage on the terrace, having him practice the flight at home and when he is ready to leave the cage door open to do what he wants. Finally, I have been using Bach flowers for several days, which I think have been very important for him to survive while I have learned to raise him well. I used Rescue Remedy, which should always be used when finding it, before trying to feed it, while you warm it with your hand. I also used Olive, because he seemed physically weak. What to do if I find a sparrow?
If you have found a sparrow that has fallen from the nest, you will most likely think about picking it up and taking care of it. However, it may have fallen due to the wind or it is making its first flights. So, the first thing we advise you is to stay at prudential distance for a while and wait for their parents to come to pick it up. Otherwise, you can help by taking care of him.

Mi intención es soltarlo y ponerle la casa de pájaros done ahora duerme fuera con comida y agua. Mi pregunta es a que edad debo soltarlo ya que me daría mucha pena privarlo de su libertad

Hola Fátima, ve dejandolo en semilibertad con la jaulita abierta y dentro que haya comida, ponle ya alpiste para que vaya comiendolo y aprenda a abrirlo, en dos tres días habrá aprendido, ponselo primero mezclado en un platito con la comida y luego poco a poco sólo el alpiste, no vuela porque está peloncillo, dale unos días más a que la colita le salga y tenga más plumas, y volará, a Cuqui le pasó igual. Si lo haces así pordrás disfrutar de tenerlo en libertad y al mismo tiempo poder disfrutarlo dejandole siempre una jaulita abierta donde tenga agua asegurada y alpiste o todo lo que le quieras poner, suerte! Hola! Ayer me encontré un gorrioncito o gorrioncita (porque no sé como averiguar de que sexo es).Le he dado pienso de perro mezclado con pasta para ave de cria y ha comido un poquito. Lleva casi toda la mañana acucurrado dormido en un cestito con algodones que le he confeccionado, no sé si será normal.Es muy pequeñito, no tiene cola y las plumitas del pecho le están apareciendo. A ver si me puedes orientar de los siguientes pasos a seguir porque me daría mucha pena que se muriese.Gracias a ti y gracias por tu blog!Un abrazo!

hace 2 dias encontre un gorrionsito en la puerta de mi casa,le estoy dando polenta con yema de huevo eso le hace mal? parece estar muy bien pero quiero sacarme la duda ,por favor contesta! :D necesito tu ayuda
Hola, el huevo no es malo, pero lo más adecuado es la pasta de cría que puedes encontrar encualquier tienda especializada en animalitos, y las bolitas de perro trituradas, ese es el alimento más completo, si a eso me metes clara de huevo, genial! Un saludo

cuando le damos la comida de perro triturada es necesario que este tibia la comida para darsela¿
De pequeño, he criado gorriones y al leer esta historia, me ha hecho retroceder cuarenata años.
Los criaba tal cual indicas y, eran tan cariñosos que cuando volvia del colegio, les llamaba desde la calle y venian a mi encuentro.
Me ha gustado mucho esta historia y seguire este blog, Ahora estoy criando un agaponi con veinte dias y seguro mas adelante criare algun corrion. Intentare poner fotos.

Hola! Me llamo Isabel y me gustaria compartir con los lectores de este blog la historia de Arturo.
Arturo tiene 5 meses. La primera vez que le vi pense que no iba a vivir mas de unas cuantas horas. lo encontro mi perro, dandole un paseo a media tarde, algo salio disparado sin apenas poder volar y escondiendose en la esquinita de unas escaleras. Era MUY feo, con los ojitos aun medio cerrados, las plumas apenas despuntaban. un bichajo! Lo trajo mi hermana a casa y me lo cedio, a ella le iba a doler mucho si el pajarito moria y bueno, para eso estamos las hermanas mayores. Asi que pase la primera noche despierta con el en mi pecho para darle calor, intentando darle agua y arrimandole al pico las bolitas de pienso aguado. Algo de agua bebio, la comida, nada. al dia siguiente y con un par de horas de sueño, me aventure a abrirle un poquito el pico. Y para que hice eso. Ya no paro en 2 meses. Vaya gloton, que ganas de vivir. teniendo apenas dos semanas, ya era gracioso, inteligente y jugueton. El piar se convirtio en su hobby favorito para llamar mi atencion. Lo "mal acostumbre" a comer de mi boca, y ya cada vez que comia delante suya, venia "revoloteando" a mi hombro a quitarme lo que fuese, daba igual! el lo queria!
He vivido grandes aventuras con Arturo. En septiembre tuve que mudarme de ciudad por estudios, y el vino conmigo. Arturo ha sobrevivido a "aplastamientos", despistes, a mi perro! tiene mas vidas que un gato. y lo mas fuerte es que se cayo por el hueco del ascensor de mi residencia (se me rompio la jaula al cogerla, salio volando cuando apenas estaba aprendiendo y al volver a su jaula, cayo por el hueco. ), la sorpresa fue cuando, en pleno ataque de ansiedad por el, el tecnico pudo abrir el foso del ascensor y adivinad. Arturo salio volando y se escondio dentro de mi sudadera. Aun se me saltan las lagrimas recordando aquello.
Es mi mejor amigo, mi compañero mas leal, me rio muchisimo con el, tiene comportamientos propios de una personita. Sabe cuando estoy contenta, cuando estoy triste. quiere jugar siempre, se alegra muchisimo cuando vuelvo de la universidad y le encanta ver la tele conmigo. Incluso creo que a veces, los pequeños picotazos en el lobulo de la oreja, son besos. Es tremendamente cariñoso, agradecido e inteligente. Es quizas, de las mejores cosas que me ha pasado en la vida y jamas crei poder amar tantisimo a un ser tan chiquitin.
Siempre tuve fe en que saldria adelante. Nunca le deis pan con leche!! mimarlos mucho, que de verdad, son. seres increibles.
A Arturo le costo mucho trabajo echar el plumaje, me preocupe muchisimo porque tardo casi 3 meses en completarlo, se paso mucho tiempo con medio cuerpo desnudito y. puf! que mal lo pase. Pero eso si. jamas se le quito el hambre ni las ganas de cachondeo. Siempre esta suelto por casa, concretamente, viene conmigo a todos sitios, mi compañera de piso se rie mucho porque siempre, Arturo, esta en mi cabeza!! Y me ha contado que se queda piando cuando me marcho a clase. Estoy incluso pensando dejarle una radio jajaja!
Estoy loquita por el con casi 26 años que voy a cumplir ^^.
Animo a todos los que tengais la gran suerte de cuidar a uno, es uno mas de la familia.
